Samuel Thomas Wilson
September 23, 1978 - May 21, 2018Age 39

"The thing about Sam is that he was always there for you. Whether you were a vet struggling to find your way in the real world, a guy looking for a good record, or a (bad) running partner, Sam was your guy. Proud, unique, cracking more jokes than any man I've ever known.
He was a good man. He helped me when he didn't have to. He threw his life away when he didn't need to. He used to say he was my right-hand man, but sometimes I think I was his. He was a soldier through and through. Hard-working. Loyal. Willing to risk it all for those he loved.
Fly high, Sam."
- Steve Rogers, friend
"I didn't know him well. We worked together. Fought together. He was loyal and strong. He knew what it was like to lose, and what it took to get back up from the ground. I wish I could have known him better."
- James Rhodes, friend
"Sam was a person you could always count on. He was strong, willing, and oftentimes the voice of reason. He always looked ahead, knowing he had to look before he lept. Now there's nowhere to jump to, I guess. I'll miss him."
- Natasha Romanoff, friend
