"For better or worse, Laura saved me. She took me at my worst and carried me toward home. She gave me the best years of my life, a daughter, and a void I will never be able to replace. We had our ups and downs, and in the end, it was a down. But we both knew that there was hope there somewhere. For our daughter, for us, to come back and carry each other toward home. and even if we can't have that chance now, I'll always remember her with hope."
