Jemma Anne Simmons

September 11, 1987 - May 21, 2018
Age 30

"I have known a lot of people in my life. I have lost a lot of people in my life. I have known people who had bad intentions, who hurt those they love for personal gain. But I have known no one like Jemma Simmons. She was the most determined person I knew. She was brilliant and strong, the person all of her friends turned to when they needed guidance or warm words.

She and I made it through many painful things together. We fought and struggled just to keep those we loved safe. I can move mountains, but Jemma was the stronger of the two of us. She vanished in a moment where we experienced the biggest loss in our lives. Our team was fractured and scattered, but she held on to hope that we would all be together again.

She was my hero.

She vanished with one wish, for her husband to know she loved him. And as we hold out hope that he is not also gone, I promise that I will keep that wish. I promise to take all the pieces I can and put us back together."
